3. Hyaluronic acid can precipitate in disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts, so avoid using them concurrently when prepping your skin.
Side effects:
Orthovisc may cause side effects. This commonly includes the following:

• stiffness
• swelling
• itching
• numbness or tingling
• headache
• dizziness
• back pain
• swelling, pain, redness, or mild discomfort where the medicine was injected
It may also cause more adverse effects, including:
• hives
• difficulty breathing
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat
• bleeding
• increased knee pain
• signs of infection (warmth, swelling, redness) around the knee
