Gardasil® 9 (Slovakian)

Gardasil® 9 is a quadrivalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine designed to protect against nine high-risk HPV types known to cause cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and anal cancers, as well as genital warts. It offers broader coverage than earlier versions, helping reduce the risk of HPV-related diseases in both females and males aged 9 to 45 years.

This vaccine targets HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58, covering strains responsible for the majority of HPV-associated cancers and lesions. Administered as a series of two or three injections over a specified period (depending on patient age and medical history), Gardasil® 9 plays a critical role in preventing HPV infection before exposure, making early vaccination important for maximum protection.

Gardasil® 9 is commonly used by gynecologists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers involved in preventive medicine, women’s health, and public health immunization programs. It is suitable for routine vaccination of adolescents and young adults, and can be offered as part of catch-up vaccination programs in older individuals within the approved age range.
