Description
Prolia® is a monoclonal antibody. Monoclonal antibodies are made to target and destroy only certain cells in the body. This may help to protect healthy cells from damage.
Composition:
PROLIA is composed of a sterile solution of denosumab, with a concentration of 60 mg/1 mL.
Side effects:
The most common side effects of Prolia® include back pain, muscle pain, joint pain, and injection site reactions. Other side effects may include skin infections, bladder infections, and ear infections. Rare but serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, osteonecrosis of the jaw, and atypical fractures of the thigh bone.
Packaging:
Prolia® is supplied in a single-use 1 mL prefilled syringe, which is ready for immediate use.
