Maxidex Ophthalmic Suspension 0.1% (Non-English)
$9.00
Description
Maxidex® is a prescription corticosteroid eye drop used to reduce inflammation and swelling caused by infections, injuries, or post-surgical recovery. Its active ingredient, dexamethasone 0.1%, helps relieve redness, irritation, and discomfort by suppressing inflammatory responses. Ophthalmologists commonly prescribe it for short-term use to manage ocular inflammation and promote healing.
The standard dosage is 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours, with adjustments based on severity. Patients should be monitored for potential side effects, including increased intraocular pressure, delayed healing, or risks of glaucoma and cataracts with prolonged use. Proper administration, including hand hygiene and avoiding dropper contamination, is essential for safety.
Maxidex® is widely used by ophthalmologists and medical professionals in post-operative eye care and inflammatory eye conditions. It is effective when used under medical supervision to prevent complications and ensure optimal outcomes.
