Description
Eylea is a drug used to treat wet age-related macular degeneration. It is also used to treat swelling in the retina caused by a blockage in the blood vessels.
Composition:
Eylea 40 mg/mL solution for injection in a vial. 1 mL solution for injection contains 40 mg aflibercept*. One vial contains an extractable volume of at least 0.1 mL, equivalent to at least 4 mg aflibercept. This provides a usable amount to deliver a single dose of 0.05 mL containing 2 mg aflibercept.
Side effects:
- Increased redness in the eye.
- Eye pain.
- Cataract.
- Vitreous (gel-like substance) detachment.
- Vitreous floaters.
- Moving spots in the field of vision.
- Increased pressure in the eye.
