Description
Xolair® (omalizumab) is a monoclonal antibody designed to manage moderate to severe allergic asthma and chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives) in patients who do not respond adequately to standard treatments. By targeting immunoglobulin E (IgE), Xolair helps reduce allergic inflammation and minimize symptom severity.
This injectable biologic therapy is commonly prescribed for individuals with high IgE levels and persistent allergic symptoms. It is administered via subcutaneous injection every 2 to 4 weeks, with dosage determined based on body weight and IgE levels.
Xolair is widely used by allergists, pulmonologists, and dermatologists to improve asthma control and provide relief from chronic hives when conventional antihistamines are insufficient.
Each dose must be prepared and administered under medical supervision to ensure patient safety and effectiveness.
