Tobradex Ophthalmic Suspension 0.3%, 0.1% (Non-English) is indicated for the treatment of ocular conditions where inflammation and bacterial infection coexist, such as:
- Superficial bacterial eye infections: For example, conjunctivitis and keratitis.
- Inflammatory conditions: Includes conditions like chronic anterior uveitis, post-surgical inflammation, and corneal injury from chemical burns or foreign bodies.
- Post-operative inflammation: Used for managing inflammation and preventing infection after cataract surgery.
Compostion:
The active components of Tobradex Ophthalmic Suspension 0.3%, 0.1% (Non-English) are tobramycin and dexamethasone, both of which work synergistically to treat eye infections and reduce inflammation.
- Active Ingredients:
- Tobramycin (0.3%) – A broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
- Dexamethasone (0.1%) – A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by inhibiting inflammatory mediators.
- Excipients: Includes benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, hydroxyethyl cellulose, and water for injection.
