Vabysmo® Injection
$2,229.99
Description
Vabysmo® (faricimab-svoa) is a bispecific monoclonal antibody injection designed to treat neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. Targeting both angiopoietin-2 and VEGF-A pathways helps reduce fluid accumulation in the retina, stabilizing or improving visual acuity.
With a reduced injection frequency over time, Vabysmo® provides a more convenient regimen for patients, potentially enhancing adherence and clinical outcomes. It can significantly slow disease progression, thereby safeguarding vision.
Each 6 mg intravitreal injection is typically administered monthly for the first four doses, transitioning to extended intervals based on the patient’s response. Proper aseptic technique and close monitoring of intraocular pressure are essential.
Vabysmo® is commonly prescribed by retinal specialists and ophthalmologists aiming to manage retinal vascular pathologies in patients requiring dual-pathway inhibition.
Disclaimers:
– For intravitreal use by licensed ophthalmologists only.
– Prescription required. Not for self-administration by patients.
– Monitor for intraocular inflammation, increased IOP, or signs of infection.
